Taiheiyo Cement Corporation is a Japanese enterprise with a global presence, specializing in cement production, natural resource extraction, environmental services, and construction materials manufacturing. Its Cement division manufactures a variety of cement products, including standard Portland cement and specialized blends, along with soil stabilization compounds and ready-mix concrete. The Mineral Resources segment supplies limestone aggregates, such as coarse and fine aggregates utilized in ready-mixed concrete and civil engineering projects, as well as sandstone and andesite for similar applications. This segment also produces quicklime, hydrated lime, various fillers, silica, and silica powder. Additionally, it offers distinct materials like hollow ceramics, sepiolite, wollastonite, and kaolin, and processes surplus construction soil for reuse. Taiheiyo Cement's Environmental operations encompass the recycling of a wide array of waste materials, including used tires, plastics, paper sludge, industrial refuse, municipal waste, and different types of sludge (e.g., from water purification, sewage, and dredging). The company also provides CFC treatment, constructs waste processing facilities, and develops advanced recycling technologies, such as ash washing and specialized kiln systems. Furthermore, it supplies flue gas desulfurization agents like calcium carbonate to coal-fired power plants, and trades in slag powder, other inorganic substances, various fuels (coal, heavy oil), chemicals, and gypsum. The Construction Materials unit manufactures precast concrete components, urban infrastructure products like promenades and interlocking paving blocks, concrete housing elements, noise-reducing acoustic panels, and fire-resistant lining materials for tunnels. Other business activities include real estate development and leasing for diverse purposes such as office buildings, retail spaces, leisure facilities, and warehouses, alongside developing land for residential housing. This segment also covers data processing, logistics (transportation and warehousing), engineering services, chemical product manufacturing, and sports-related ventures. Established in 1881, Taiheiyo Cement Corporation maintains its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
