Operating through its subsidiaries, the company manufactures and markets a broad spectrum of industrial machinery, metals, advanced materials, and chemical products across Japan, the broader Asian region, and international markets. Its Industrial Machinery division engineers and supplies a comprehensive range of equipment, including specialized pumps for slurry, sewage, water management, and shield construction, alongside electrostatic precipitators and various sewage-related mechanisms. This segment also offers crushing and grinding mills, briquetting machines, classifiers, and separators, as well as high-performance castings such as high-manganese, high-chromium, sabel reinforcement, low-alloy, heat-resistant, and complex wear-resistant types. The Rock Drill Machinery segment provides robust drilling and demolition tools, encompassing hydraulic breakers and crushers, boring drills, air and hydraulic crawler drills, down-the-hole drills, hydraulic furnace drills, and advanced tunnel and mining drill jumbos, in addition to concrete sprayers and environmental machinery. UNIC Machinery specializes in lifting and transportation solutions, featuring its renowned UNIC cranes (including standard, mini crawler, and ocean crane models), UNIC carriers, and other UNIC PAL and UNIPPY product lines. In the Metals sector, Furukawa is involved in the production and distribution of electrolytic copper, precious metals like gold and silver, and sulfuric acid. The Electronic division focuses on cutting-edge materials and components, manufacturing high-purity metallic arsenics, gallium phosphorus polycrystals, various crystals, cores and coils, diffractive optical elements, aluminum nitride ceramics, and optical components. Its Chemicals segment produces an array of industrial chemicals, including cuprous and cupric oxides, copper carbonate, iron sulfate heptahydrate, ferric polysulfate aqueous solution, aluminum sulfate, sulfuric acid, and titanium dioxide. Furthermore, the company's Real Estate operations encompass property transactions, brokerage services, leasing arrangements, and the renovation of commercial office buildings. Furukawa also offers transportation services, utilizing both trucking fleets and maritime vessels to move goods.
