The company holds a full ownership interest in the Appalachian Basin, covering 100,000 acres primarily located in eastern Kentucky, western Virginia, and northeastern Tennessee. Additionally, its asset portfolio includes approximately 20,000 acres within the Denver-Julesburg Basin in central Colorado, and around 4,000 acres in the Illinois Basin. Originally incorporated in 2005 as Fremont Petroleum Corporation Ltd, the company adopted its current name, AXP Energy Limited, in July 2021. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Lexington, Kentucky.
