Motus Holdings Limited is a prominent automotive group with an extensive global reach, operating across South Africa, the United Kingdom, Australia, Southeast Asia, and various parts of Southern Africa. The company's diverse activities are organized into four key divisions: Firstly, its Import and Distribution segment is dedicated to sourcing and supplying passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and their associated parts. These are distributed to a broad client base, including dealership networks, vehicle rental companies, corporate fleets, and governmental bodies. Secondly, the Retail and Rental division focuses on the sale of both brand-new and pre-owned passenger and commercial vehicles. This segment also provides vehicle rental services, notably under the well-recognized Europcar and Tempest brands. Motus boasts an expansive dealership presence, representing 23 different original equipment manufacturers. This comprises 329 dealerships in South Africa (including 71 pre-owned, 239 passenger, and 19 commercial vehicle outlets), 120 dealerships in the United Kingdom (88 commercial and 32 passenger), and 36 passenger vehicle dealerships in Australia. Thirdly, the Financial Services arm develops and delivers a range of financial products and ancillary services related to vehicles. These are made accessible through various channels such as importers, distributors, dealers, financial institutions, call centers, and digital platforms. Additionally, this segment manages and administers service, maintenance, and warranty plans, creates value-added products, and offers comprehensive fleet management solutions to corporate clients, covering aspects like vehicle upkeep, fine management, licensing, and registration. Lastly, the Aftermarket Parts division specializes in the distribution, wholesale, and retail of accessories and replacement parts for vehicles no longer covered by warranty. These products are available through dedicated retail stores, franchised outlets, and specialized workshops. The division oversees 587 retail locations in total, with 94 of these being company-owned stores situated in South Africa, Taiwan, and China. Beyond its core automotive businesses, Motus Holdings Limited is also actively involved in property investments. The company was established in 1948 and maintains its headquarters in Bedfordview, South Africa.
