About Provectus Biopharmaceuticals, Inc.
Provectus Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology firm dedicated to pioneering immunotherapy treatments. These therapies are grounded in its proprietary halogenated xanthene platform. Among its key developments is PV-10, an experimental autolytic cancer immunotherapy. This treatment is being explored for a range of adult solid tumor malignancies, encompassing melanoma and various gastrointestinal cancers (such as hepatocellular carcinoma, metastatic colorectal cancer to the liver, metastatic neuroendocrine tumors to the liver, and metastatic uveal melanoma to the liver). It also targets pediatric solid tumors, including neuroblastoma, Ewing sarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, and osteosarcoma. Additionally, Provectus is advancing oral formulations of pharmaceutical-grade rose bengal sodium (cGMP RBS) to combat a broad spectrum of conditions. These include adult solid tumors (such as head and neck, breast, testicular, and colorectal cancers), pediatric blood cancers like leukemia, acute respiratory syndromes such as coronavirus, infections caused by multi-drug resistant bacteria (specifically Gram-negative bacteria), and certain ocular conditions, notably infectious keratitis. Furthermore, the company is progressing PH-10, an investigational immuno-dermatology agent designed to address inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Originally established in 2002, the company was initially named Provectus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., before rebranding as Provectus Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. in December 2013. Its operations are headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee.
