Founded in 1965 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, Quebecor Inc. operates across the telecommunications, media, and sports and entertainment sectors via its various subsidiaries. Its Telecommunications division provides a comprehensive suite of services, including television distribution, internet access, mobile and wireline telephony, business solutions, and over-the-top video offerings. This segment also features Helix, a cutting-edge technology platform designed for entertainment and home management, incorporating features such as voice remote functionality, ultra-intelligent Wi-Fi, and support for home automation. The Media segment encompasses the operation of an over-the-air television network and specialized TV channels. It further supplies soundstage and equipment rentals, alongside post-production services, to the film and television industries. This division is also responsible for printing, publishing, and distributing daily newspapers and magazines; managing digital news and entertainment platforms; providing a music streaming service; producing and distributing audiovisual content; and conducting an out-of-home advertising enterprise. Lastly, the Sports and Entertainment segment is active in show production, as well as the management of sporting and cultural events. Its activities extend to the publishing and distribution of books, the distribution and production of music, and the ownership and operation of two Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams.
