The index tracks the performance of renewable energy companies, which may include those involved in wind, solar, hydro, hydrogen, bio-fuel or geothermal technology, lithium-ion batteries, electric vehicles, and smart grid technologies. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in stocks of low carbon energy companies.
