Its principal asset is the polymetallic Yauricocha Mine in Peru, where it holds an 81.84% ownership stake. This significant operation spans 18,778 hectares and is situated in the Yauyos province. In Mexico, Sierra Metals fully owns two other substantial mining interests: the Bolivar mine, which comprises 12 concessions covering 15,217 hectares, and the Cusi Mines, encompassing 73 concessions across 11,977 hectares. Founded in 1996, the company is headquartered in Toronto, Canada. It operated under the name Dia Bras Exploration Inc. until December 2012, when it officially adopted its current identity as Sierra Metals Inc.
