About Sutlej Textiles and Industries Limited
Sutlej Textiles and Industries Limited, based in Mumbai, India, is a prominent manufacturer and seller of yarns and home textile products. Established in 1934, the company's activities are organized into two primary divisions: Yarn and Home Textiles. Its extensive yarn portfolio encompasses a broad spectrum of types, including pure polyester, viscose, acrylic, modal, and tencel, as well as specialized offerings like cotton mélange and cone-dyed varieties. Furthermore, Sutlej produces numerous blended yarns, such as polyester/viscose, polyester/cotton, acrylic/cotton, modal/cotton, viscose/cotton, and bamboo/cotton. The range also extends to high-performance yarns like micro-polyester, micro-acrylic, low-piling, carpet backing, ready-to-dye, cationic dyeable, and those derived from bamboo or soy milk fibers. The Home Textiles segment provides a diverse array of finished goods and fabrics. This includes household furnishings like curtains, cushions, throws, table covers, mats, runners, duvets, and comforters. They also supply drapery and upholstery fabrics. Their made-up items feature bed scarves, shams, quilts, quilting materials, and chenille products. Additionally, these textiles can incorporate specialized finishes such as fire retardants, insect repellents, stain protection (Scotchgard), aero and decca finishes, soil repellents, and bio/aroma treatments. Beyond its textile operations, the company demonstrates a commitment to sustainability by producing raw white, black, and dope-dyed polyester staple fiber through the recycling of PET bottles. Sutlej Textiles and Industries Limited has a significant international presence, exporting its products to approximately 62 countries globally.
