The company focuses on the construction, maintenance, and optimization of critical infrastructure for electrical power transmission, data communication, and material conveyance. Tesmec serves a broad international client base across Italy, wider Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North and Central America, BRIC nations, and other markets. Its operations are structured across three primary divisions: Energy, Trencher, and Rail. The Energy segment provides a comprehensive range of stringing equipment for both overhead and underground power lines, including various digital and electric machines, continuous pullers, tower erection tools, safety systems, a multitude of reels, ropes, blocks, and specialized accessories. This division also offers energy automation products such as protection and control systems, remote monitoring devices, advanced telecommunication solutions (like teleprotection and powerline carriers for high-voltage grids), and smart metering tools. The Trencher division supplies a diverse portfolio of trenching machinery, encompassing rocksaw, chainsaw, and bucket wheel models, in addition to surface miners, detection and mapping systems, mechanical laying solutions, and trenchers with integrated vacuum capabilities. For the railway sector, the Rail segment provides specialized solutions for catenary installation and maintenance, track maintenance vehicles, diagnostic systems, snow removal equipment, and wiring units.
