About YPF Sociedad Anónima
YPF Sociedad Anónima is an integrated energy company based in Argentina, conducting extensive oil and gas operations across the country. Its upstream segment is dedicated to the exploration, development, and extraction of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids. Downstream, the company is involved in refining, marketing, transportation, and distribution of various products, including petroleum, petroleum derivatives, petrochemicals, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and biofuels. Additionally, YPF performs gas separation, manages natural gas distribution, and generates electricity. As of December 31, 2021, YPF held interests in 119 oil and gas fields, possessing estimated reserves of approximately 643 million barrels of oil and 2,447 billion cubic feet of natural gas. Its vast retail presence included 1,654 YPF-branded service stations, complemented by 18 exploration permits. The company operates three refineries with a combined annual refining capacity of roughly 120 million barrels. It also maintains an approximately 2,800-kilometer network of crude oil pipelines, capable of transporting about 640,000 barrels of refined products daily, and possesses crude oil storage facilities with a capacity of around 7 million barrels. Furthermore, YPF manages terminal facilities at five Argentine ports. The company also participates in 21 power generation plants, contributing to an aggregate installed capacity of 3,091 megawatts. Beyond its core energy activities, YPF offers a diverse range of products including diesel, fertilizers, lubricants, phytosanitary products, and ensiling bags. It also supplies gasoline, fuel oil, coal, asphalts, paraffin, sulfur, carbon dioxide (CO2), decanted oil, and aromatic extract. Established in 1977, YPF Sociedad Anónima is headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
