Fincantieri S.p.A. is a global leader in the shipbuilding sector, with operations organized into three main divisions: Shipbuilding, Offshore and Specialized Vessels, and Equipment, Systems and Infrastructure. The Shipbuilding segment is responsible for the design and construction of various passenger vessels, ranging from luxury cruise ships to specialized expedition cruisers. It also produces a comprehensive array of naval vessels, including aircraft carriers, destroyers, frigates, corvettes, patrol ships, amphibious and logistic support vessels, multirole and research craft, special vessels, and submarines. This division’s offerings extend to include product lifecycle management, training, and assistance services. Furthermore, it oversees complete ship interiors—encompassing cabins, wet units, public areas, catering facilities, glazing, and full interior design solutions—and provides extensive services for ship repair, refitting, conversions, and refurbishment. The Offshore and Specialized Vessels segment focuses on engineering and building high-end support vessels tailored for offshore wind farms and the oil & gas industries. Additionally, this segment delivers specialized ships like cable-laying vessels and ferries, alongside developing unmanned marine platforms. Within the Equipment, Systems and Infrastructure segment, Fincantieri provides diverse energy generation and storage systems, including integrated electrical, electronic, and electromechanical solutions, as well as entertainment systems. It supplies critical marine technologies such as stabilization, propulsion, dynamic positioning, and power generation systems, including steam turbines. This division excels in designing and integrating complex systems, with a strong emphasis on automation, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and vital infrastructures. Beyond its maritime scope, it undertakes the design, construction, and assembly of large-scale steel structures for significant infrastructure projects, encompassing bridges, viaducts, airports, ports, maritime/hydraulic works, and substantial commercial and industrial buildings. Fincantieri's extensive portfolio of services also covers dry-dock management, comprehensive engineering, project, and supply chain management, IT consultancy, sales and after-sales support for mechanical products, marine diesel engine maintenance, cutting-edge technological research and development, vessel accommodation services, and the chartering of various marine craft. Established in 1959, Fincantieri S.p.A. maintains its headquarters in Trieste, Italy, and operates as a subsidiary of CDP Equity S.p.A.
